NEET 2013 – Common Medical Entrance Exam
NEET(National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test)
It is a first national level medical entrance test. NEET-UG will organise to get admission in undergraduate courses like MBBS, BDS etc. and NEET-PG will orgranise to get admission in postgraduate courses like MS,MD etc. NEET-UG is a single common entrance test for approximate 31000 MBBS seats. It will replace AIPMT, AFMC other individual MBBS entrance exams, state PMTs etc. It is a one common test for all government and private medical colleges.
Why require NEET?
Currently more than 30 different medical entrance exams in all over India. For a medical aspirants, it’s too difficult to give different entrance exams. It’s stressful to prepare for different medical entrance exams with different syllabus. It also increase financial burden to parents. It stressful to go to one entrance exam center and after 2-3 days other medical entrance in queue. Sometimes entrance examination dates also clash.
So MHRD and MCI(Medical Council of India) proposed common medical entrance test from 2013. It makes a single platform to test candidates in better way. It reduce the burden on student and parents.

NEET 2013 Examination Date: 05/05/2013 Sunday
NEET 2013 Result: First Week of June 2013

NEET(UG) 2013 is a single stage and only objective test.
Total number of questions: 180 (Physics 45, Chemistry 45, Botany 45, Zoology 45)
Total time period: 3 hours
Each question carries 4 marks.
Correct Answer: 4 Marks
Incorrect Answer: -1 Mark(Negative)
Negative marking for each incorrect response.
