Blackberry Airtel GPRS Settings
1. Press the “Blackberry Menu key”.
2. Then select “Options”.
3. Then select “Advanced options”.
4. Then select “TCP”.
5. Now enter APN value (in small letters) airtelgprs.com
Leave username and password blank.
6.After doing this press “Blackberry Menu Key” and press “Save”.
7. Now Your Airtel GPRS will work. (If you have already activated GPRS service form Airtel)

hey itz easy to make work airtel net on any bb handset. but you hav to follow d procedure fr tht.
Activt ur gprs > do the abov mentiond settng> go to sim option and activat umts/gsm> switch off phon n on it> now go to options>advanced>service book> make the entry of airtel internet by typing thru keyboard the display will pop up . Type `AirtelInternet`>save it>go to browser via advanced settings >select the airtel internet option > you can use net on simple data chrgz and ur bb services will also work, Gud luck. ? . . . . . .

Please Shuaid, I have BB 9530 strom and and can set up the service book like you said. Currently, i configure my SIM Card to GPRS and i get also the host routing table but i can’t configure the service book and until now i don’t have internet on my phone. ( I’m in chad now and I use airtel chad network)

We regret to say This black berry stop to sale in India because it configuration is not easy to installed and not supported also not easy with any network secondly cell also very higher side cost compare to other cell and their feature as well as support and function. This only not my personal view while our company employee and person contact also fever to avoid the black berry for using the internet its really very hard to use and affordable.
I am lot-off time interact with BB customer care but could not succeed to install and browsing. Every time requesting failed and unauthorized request ,find error many of massage given by black berry and airtel even though our company IT support Head and Admin Head given full day to set-up with all support mail provided by Airtel.
we have recharge Rs.249 pack for net where the vodafone given best service in Rs.58 (2.5GB)five times cost higher and services poor it show that Black berry buyer’s is boob.
I had purchased last seven day 8520 Curve and now ready to sale.

This is good help..!!, Plz note: In Blackberry you can install Opera Browser then you can use this GPRS service, BB browser will work with gprs services until Enterprise activation is done.
i had vodafone before airtel… and now i come to know airtel is just bullshit…. its works damn good in vodafone… but not working in airtel… and if u are not believing me… just try it… take ur friend’s vodafone sim and put it in BB8520. it will definatly works…

1) Do the APN settings as mentioned under TCP/IP.
2) Use Opera Mini Browser (BB browser is not supported).
3) Press Alt+right shift+delete keys to restart the phone
Your GPRS should start working.
